MURAL PROJECT CONSIDERATIONS
Murals are a unique and beautiful way to transform a space that might not usually contain artwork. They are a great way of enhancing the value of something that we already have. and redefine our sense of what art can be, where it can be, and who can access it.

My designs are original visions inspired by a client’s desires and requests. We begin by scheduling a visioning consultation and you will receive a questionnaire to help with the visioning process. We explore design considerations and possibilities for the project before reviewing a proposal + contract that will layout the pricing and timeline details.
Once the is signed and I have received a non-refundable Design Deposit of 50% of the total cost of the mural, we will move forward! This payment ensures your commitment to the project and honors the immense creative effort and time that goes into preparing for a mural. You will receive three concept sketches by an agreed upon date. Any additional sketches will cost $300 each.
We will make any desired edits to the chosen design and finalize details before the project begins.

Surface prep includes all necessary preparation of any surface until it is ready to receive acrylic primer and paint.
A client may choose to prepare the surface themselves, or pay an additional fee for surface preparation. This may include sanding, filling gaps, sandblasting, sheathing installation, etc.
Surface priming is coating the prepared surface with a base coat so that the rest of the paint will adhere properly and look better longer.
All priming is included in the project, and material costs are included in the total price of the mural.

All materials and equipment used for average projects* will be provided by the artist. In addition to primer, the variety of colors and quantity of paint used may vary greatly depending on the chosen design and texture of the wall. A UV protective varnish will also be applied over the finished painting to protect the colors and increase the lifespan of the mural.
The cost of these materials will be estimated up front and the actual cost of the paint, primer + varnish used will be included in the final balance due upon project completion.
Other materials provided by the artist include paint brushes, chalk, tape, ground cloths, standard sized ladders, etc.
*There will be additional fees for specialized materials and equipment needed for certain projects. These may include scaffolding for larger projects, or low-VOC paint for indoor projects, etc.

All murals start at a $3000 minimum.
There are many consideration that will influence the total cost of a mural. Aside from the varying complexity of any given design, these factors include the size of the wall and quantity of materials needed, height and accessibility, timeline considerations, and more.
Pricing options will be provided after the initial visioning consultation.
